Healesville Sanctuary staff have proven that you don't need formal bike paths to ride to work.

 "A large number of our vets and keepers who live locally ride to work which helps promote the right sustainability message to our community," John Gibbons, Healesville Sanctuary's Director said.

"In fact, many of our staff use bikes to move about the Sanctuary. Not only is it an easy way to get around, it is part of our overall environmental sustainability strategy. It helps to minimise our carbon footprint, which is part of Zoos Victoria's plan to achieve carbon neutrality by 2012."
