Healesville Sanctuary Later Years

Healesville Sanctuary offers engaging Later Years programs that allow students to explore Victoria's indigenous culture, and focus more clearly on areas of interest related to their future schooling and career pathways.
Students are able to take ownership of their own learning with support from experts, and experience real-life situations facing Sanctuary staff.


  • Respect for the Land, the Wurundjeri Way

    Explore the culture, beliefs, social structure, history and land management practices of the Wurundjeri people whose lands encompass the area where Healesville Sanctuary is today. Learn about Bush Tucker, fibre and medicinal plants, technology and tools, and develop questions around how to live in harmony with the land today.

    Led by Murrundindi, this exclusive guided walk through the protected Coranderrk Bushland offers an authentic experience of Victorian Indigenous culture.
