To enhance your students' experience at Healesville Sanctuary you may wish to download a 'Learning Log'. These Trail sheets are designed to be self-guiding but teachers may wish to introduce the concepts prior to the visit. Students may choose to work individually or in teams or small groups. The Learning Logs invite students to think deeply about wildlife and the environment and develop ideas for later discussion and debate back at school. They can also be used by teachers to assess Thinking Skills.

Prior to visiting Healesville Sanctuary, teachers can photocopy the Learning Log on A3 paper.

The Flight of Bunjil is a self guided team building activity designed for students to develop skills in map reading, problem solving, leadership and time management. Teams of students will tackle new challenges and use initiative as they navigate their way around the Sanctuary. The Flight of Bunjil is particularly suitable as a transition activity for new year sevens.
