Zoos Victoria is committed to wildlife conservation both within Australia and overseas. You can help us secure a future for our natural world by making a donation to support one of our many conservation programs. Your donation will help us conduct this valuable work and contribute to wildlife conservation.
You can donate to support any of our conservation projects, however ee encourage you to support the following ‘feature’ projects:
2008 Year of the Frog
Earth is facing the single largest mass extinction since the disappearance of dinosaurs, the mass extinction of frogs. Zoos Victoria is acting to save frogs through involvement in a number of conservation and research programs such as the Southern Corroboree Frog.
Tenkile Conservation Alliance (TCA)
The Torricelli Mountain Ranges of Papua New Guinea are home two critically endangered tree kangaroos - the Scott's Tree Kangaroo, locally known as the Tenkile, and Golden Mantled Tree Kangaroo. The TCA works closely with local villages on whose land these tree kangaroos occur, aiming to assist them to conserve the Tenkile and other biodiversity of the Torricelli Mountains.
Threatened Species Program
Through the Threatened Species Program, Zoos Victoria actively supports a wide range of native species, including the Mountain Pygmy Possum, Tasmanian Devil, and Helmeted Honeyeater.
