Melbourne Zoo iPhone app
The Melbourne Zoo app is the official iPhone trail map for all ages to guide you on your walk through Melbourne Zoo. Now with added GPS (just click on the 'locate me' icon). Even before you step foot in the magnificent gardens you can start planning your journey around our great zoo. Set reminders for keeper talks, hear audio about some of the zoo highlights, and discover what animals you can see on the different journeys around the zoo. Find out about our animals and what you can do to help them. The app runs on iPhones and iPod Touches running iOS 5.0+ and above. The app will also work on iPads in 'half-screen' mode. This app is optimized for iPhone 5.
Act Wild iPhone app
The Act Wild app for iPhones and iPod Touches has recently been updated with eight new animals and much improved zoo feeds viewing. It's available in the iTunes Store / App Store and it's free! The app has loads of exclusive functionality including fast facts, the ability to check-in, upload your photos or ask a question from Melbourne Zoo, Werribee Open Range Zoo or Healesville Sanctuary. The app runs on iPhones and iPod Touches running iOS 5.0+ and above. The app will also work on iPads in 'half-screen' mode.

Biodiversity is Us mobile app
The Biodiversity is Us mobile app is a free app developed by the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA) that supports the United Nations Decade on Biodiversity 2011–2020.
Learn about 400 animal species, take part in games and quizzes, and share your favourite animal pictures and actions with friends via Facebook. It is available for all smartphone users in five languages.
Now at Werribee Open Range Zoo! OpenMi Tours is a location-based tour with Australian sign language on-screen (alongside English captions) on your smartphone. Just download the app and pick your venue before you visit to download a tour. When you are at a venue scan the QR code to find out more information about the point of interest. Venue tour content can be quite large so it’s best to download this before you visit or in a wifi zone with a good connection.
