16,928 of the worlds known animal and plant species are threatened with extinction (IUCN).  Zoos Victoria has declared the fight against extinction and has committed to ensuring that no Victorian terrestrial vertebrate species goes extinct.

Students who are passionate about wildlife and the environment are invited to come and learn about the diverse careers within the Zoo.

Students will meet Zoo professionals who will outline the breadth of employment opportunities within Melbourne Zoo and discuss their career journeys, presenting anecdotes and images from their work.  Students will also see areas generally off limits to the public, and have a close-up experience with education animals.
