Art and wildlife tour
Healesville Sanctuary has joined forces with TarraWarra Museum of Art to offer an incredible experience of art and wildlife.
The tour begins with the TarraWarra Museum of Art curatorial staff at the Animate/Inanimate exhibition where you will discover the work of leading contemporary artists, including Janet Laurence and Louise Weaver from Australia, Allora & Calzadilla of the USA, Amar Kanwar of India and Lin Tianmiao of China.
After the exhibition, guests are invited to take a picturesque drive to nearby Healesville Sanctuary, to be welcomed by a zoo staff member who will take participants on an unforgettable tour, showcasing some of Australia’s most threatened species.
One visitor raved about the combined guided tour:
We spent a fantastic Sunday afternoon at the combined guided tour of the thought provoking Animate/Inanimate exhibition at the spectacular TarraWarra Museum of Art and then on to the Healesville Sanctuary to meet some very special feathered and furries. What a wonderful way to spend the afternoon and to be up close and learn so much about some of our most endangered species, just wow! Both organisations are to be congratulated on the concept of this joint venture.
The tours will run until October 6th.
