At Kyabram Fauna Park, we are driven by a love of connecting people with wildlife through engaging and unique learning experiences through the lens of conservation in education.

Our expert educators have diverse backgrounds in animal biology, conservation, and zoology research, and our teaching experience spans early childhood through to tertiary education. We are enthusiastic about embedding an understanding of the natural world into the Victorian Curriculum and specialise in creating fun and engaging programs that bring theoretical concepts to life.

Situated on a diverse wetland habitat in beautiful Yorta Yorta Country, we boast a unique learning environment that enables students to thoroughly engage with the whole ecosystem, not just the animal. We celebrate the Yorta Yorta people as the first scientists and naturalists of this Country, and their continued contribution to conservation and education.

Through our dynamic and immersive programs, we foster students’ curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking about the world around them. We strive for every experience to be an enduring one, empowering students to consider how they can continue to contribute to wildlife conservation and build a more sustainable future.

Our welcoming and passionate team is made up of experienced educators including specialists in Aboriginal Cultures and qualified Early Childhood, Primary, Secondary, and VCE teachers. United by our love for wildlife and education we create dynamic learning experiences that make the most of Healesville Sanctuary’s unique educational setting.

Our tailored programs focus on creating a space where students learn in nature, curiosity thrives, and every student becomes a champion for conservation. We nurture a deep connection between students and the natural world, providing a sense of optimism and empowering school communities to become inspired leaders and take conservation action for wildlife.

Working on the unceded lands of the Wurundjeri Woiwurrung People we follow best cultural practice to celebrate understanding and connection to Country. Supported by our Aboriginal Cultures Education Officer, we are committed to delivering exceptional programs that celebrate the ongoing science practice of our First Nations People Australia wide.

With an unwavering dedication to inspiring the next generation of conservationists, our goal is to cultivate a community that cherishes and protects our precious environment. Let’s walk together, immersed in Australian bushland, as we foster an ongoing love for our natural world.

The Education team at Werribee Open Range Zoo are passionate teachers who facilitate hands on, interactive learning experiences designed to foster care and compassion for wildlife in a natural outdoor setting.

We link conservation issues to the Victorian Curriculum enabling students to be more enthusiastic and engaged in their learning. We encourage all school and early learning communities to join us in Fighting Extinction of local threatened species.

Our team is made up of a diverse group of passionate wildlife story tellers who share and deliver experiential learning outside of the classroom on Bunurong Country from Early Childhood to VCE. This enables students to make wildlife and cultural connections and apply their learning in the real world.

Our team encourages students to make their own decisions about complex environmental issues with the aim of fostering a new and empowered generation of critical thinkers to make a positive difference for people and wildlife … and it’s FUN!
