Discover how to teach Science and Geography using real-world inquiry and ethical concepts.

During this one-day workshop, you will:

  • Learn about the spiritual and cultural values of landscapes and landforms for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
  • Explore sustainable land management practices that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have used to care for Country for tens of thousands of years and how this compares to human impacts since colonisation.
  • Investigate the impacts that humans have had on the environment and discover how your students can be part of local community conservation projects.
  • Explore Healesville Sanctuary and learn real-life Geography skills.
  • Talk with Sanctuary Teachers and other teachers
  • Receive access to workshop materials
  • Enjoy a catered morning tea and lunch
