Great Southern BioBlitz
Become a citizen scientist and participate in the Great Southern BioBlitz
The Great Southern BioBlitz is an international period of intense biological surveying in an attempt to record all the living species across the Southern Hemisphere in Spring. Last year, around 230,000 observations were recorded across 27 countries.
While we know almost everything about the animals in our care, we know less about the other wildlife that also call our zoos home. So, we need your help!
This year's Great Southern BioBlitz is on from Friday 20 to Monday 23 September, and we invite our valued members to visit Melbourne Zoo and help us record all the living species here at the zoo.
To find out more, please complete the form below, and we will send you all the details on how to participate.
